Fish feed production, storage and application

Home / Uncategorized / Fish feed production, storage and application

Feed Production usually includes a number of steps i.e. identification of the feed ingredient and their ratios; mixing, grinding, binding together, drying and packaging.
In Kenya, like many developing countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, most on-farm feed preparations are made in small quantities, using improvised machinery that are operated either manually or mechanically, with outputs of not more than 500kg daily. Feed ingredients are mechanically or manually grinded and then mixed in a hand-operated mixer. After mixing, feeds are made into pellets, dried
and sealed in polythene bags. This guide book helps you if you are thinking of making fish feeds
